International Dornan Rás Mumhan 2026 Returns With €17,000 Prize Fund, 150+ Riders, and a Proven Pathway to the World Tour. The International Dornan Rás Mumhan 2026 returns this Easter weekend with four days of elite racing across Kerry, Cork and now Limerick, supported by a €17,000 prize fund and a confirmed start list of over 150 riders. This year’s edition welcomes international teams from Norway, the Netherlands, and Britain, joining Ireland’s strongest domestic squads and underlining the race’s growing international prestige. Racing begins on Good Friday with the explosive Team Time Trial from Ballybunion to Asdee, a high speed and tactical opener along the exposed Atlantic coastline that will instantly shape the early general classification. Race Director John Breen expressed pride in the race’s evolution and deep appreciation for the people who make it possible:
“To see Rás Mumhan develop into a truly international event is something that gives me immense pride. Each year, the standard rises as more teams from across Europe choose to race here, and that growth is matched by the tireless commitment of our volunteers and committee. They are the heartbeat of this event. Their dedication allows us to deliver the very best race possible for the riders, and it’s because of them that Rás Mumhan continues to thrive on the international stage.”

A Backdrop That Defines the Race
Spectacular Scenery & Unforgiving Terrain. Set across the dramatic roads of Munster, Rás Mumhan is famous for its breathtaking landscape and brutal terrain: Atlantic coastlines, steep mountain passes, twisting valley roads and exposed headlands. These routes offer spectacular yet unforgiving terrain, rewarding only those who arrive prepared. It is here, on the rugged roads of Kerry, Cork and Limerick, that the long, cold winter miles spent in the saddle reveal themselves — and the cream rises to the top.

• Seth Dunwoody — Armagh’s prodigy, now riding for Bahrain Victorious after excelling at junior and U23 level
• Jamie Meehan — Donegal climber, now a World Tour rider with Cofidis, having broken through with standout Irish performances.
These riders once animated Rás Mumhan, today they compete on cycling’s biggest stage. Their journeys reaffirm Rás Mumhan as the ideal proving ground for the next generation of Irish talent.
