Rás Mumhan is one of the premier cycling events in Ireland, Run by Killorglin Credit Union Cycling Club, it takes place in Cork and Kerry over the Easter weekend. With Killorglin as its base, it passes through some of the most stunning scenery in Kerry and from the cyclists’ point of view, some of the most demanding terrain.
The 2017 route will not be dramatically dissimilar to the 2017 route. It should provide exciting and demanding racing that is typical of Rás Mumhan. As ever route design is guided by the notion that there is a nice little leg warmer on Friday followed by a tough long day in the mountains on Saturday. Sunday will be run over the classic South Kerry stage with its interesting little drags and the final day is a flat very fast stage. We look forward to seeing everyone over the Easter Weekend
As in 2016 the event organisers have developed a special sportive for the Saturday stage. Etape Rás Mumhan provides the leisure & sportive rider with a rare opportunity to ride a classic stage of a domestic road stage race.
