Damien Shaw (Aquablue) was the overall winner of the Kerry Group Ras Mumhan which concluded today in Killorglin. His winning margin to say the least was by the skin of his teeth. Only four seconds separated Shaw and the runner up Dutch cyclist Harry Sweering. Going into to day’s final stage Sweering was lying in second place overall. The canny Dutch competitor escaped in a twelve man break and with less than 10 kilometers to the finish was in control of the situation and was now leader on the road. However Shaw and his team manufactured a hectic chase which brought Sweering’s lead back. The final stage was won by English rider Matthew Higgins of the Felt Colbournes Team
