Possibly everyone’s favourite stage, especially if you are a spectator! Riders will depart the Killorglin KCYMS Community Hall (Sign On) at 10:00 a.m. and proceed passed the church turning right along the New Line Road and straight through the Bianconi roundabout.
There will be a neutralised roll-out to the start point of approx. 1.5km
The Easter Monday stage and final day is mostly a flat stage, starting and finishing in Killorglin, with the usual sting in the tail. The 24km loop through Beaufort is covered 3 times and then it is on to the final 10 laps of the Donal McKenna circuit around the town and up the hill each time to add a further 41 km. The support from the crowds on this stage is huge and brings a great atmosphere to Killorglin.
Riders that are 3:30 down on the leaders will be withdrawn from the circuit. They will be credited with a finishing time appropriate to the lap they were removed at. This is to facilitate the ease of movement of motor traffic in Killorglin and contribute significantly to race safety.
The Stage is 113Km of racing in length approx.
