Stage 1A
A new addition to Rás Mumhan for 2024, a short but challenging Team Time Trial, a first for Rás Mumhan. First team off at 12:02 pm with 2-minute intervals.
Sign-On will be from 10:00am to 11:45am sharp and all teams are asked to sign on minimum one hour before their start time. Sign on and registration will take place in Killeentierna Community Centre, V93 YV90, where you will receive your numbers and timing chips. Road race kit and equipment only, with official Team\Club Kit to be worn.
The TTT is an 8.8km, fast circuit, adding a real team dimension to the race that will challenge riders both mentally and physically.
Starting in Currow Village, just past the Church, V93 P863, we take to the start of the famous John Drumm circuit heading for Scartaglin. Taking the first left we head for Cordal and after 3km approx. we turn left again heading into Castleisland. From here we have a 4km straight, but fast run to the finish. On finishing, teams are asked to continue straight to the Supervalu carpark (700m approx.), so as not to cause any obstruction after the finish line.
Access to the start will be from Castleisland by heading for Farranfore and taking the left turnoff for Currow.
